What we fix
Faults we take on, appliance by appliance
We service Thermador and nothing else. Every product line below is one we carry parts knowledge for, not one we look up on arrival.
-
Thermador wall ovens running cool or locked shut, Mandarin
Ovens that will not hold a set temperature, doors that will not unlock after a clean cycle, and control boards that quit after a storm.
- Oven not heating at all, or heating but never reaching the set point
- Oven runs cool or overshoots the set temperature
- Door stays locked after a self-clean cycle
-
Thermador refrigeration columns drifting warm in Mandarin
Columns and built-ins that drift warm, frost over, run constantly or stop making ice, diagnosed by measurement rather than by parts swapping.
- Fresh food side warms up while the freezer stays cold
- Compressor runs almost continuously and the cabinet never recovers
- Frost building on the back wall or around the evaporator
-
Thermador steam ovens stuck in a descale loop, Mandarin
Most steam oven faults we see begin as deposit in the generator, the fill line or the drain rather than as a failed board, and they announce themselves early.
- Descale reminder returns within weeks of a descale
- Little or no steam, or steam that arrives late in the cycle
- Water left standing in the cavity at the end of a cycle
-
Thermador range burners that click but will not light, Mandarin
Burners that will not light or will not simmer, ovens that miss their set point, and the gas supply problems that get blamed on the appliance.
- Burner clicks repeatedly but will not light
- Igniter keeps clicking after the burner has already lit
- Flame lifts off the burner or will not hold a low simmer
-
Thermador induction zones that cut out mid-cook, Mandarin
Induction zones that cut out, gas burners that will not simmer, and touch controls that stop responding once the cabinet below gets warm.
- Induction zone shuts off part way through cooking
- One surface burner or zone will not heat while the rest do
- Cooktop reports that it cannot detect the pan
-
Thermador dishwashers that will not drain or dry, Mandarin
Dishes coming out gritty, cycles that will not drain, doors that drop and top racks that come out wet — and which of those is the appliance and which is not.
- White film or grit left on glassware after a normal cycle
- Standing water in the bottom at the end of a cycle
- Door drops instead of holding at an angle
-
Thermador hoods that run but no longer clear the air, Mandarin
Hoods that are quiet but no longer pull, blowers that hum without turning, downdrafts that stall halfway, and ductwork that was never right to begin with.
- Hood runs but no longer clears steam or smoke
- Blower hums and does not start, or starts only on high
- Downdraft rises partway and stops or will not retract

The line we work to
Where the work stops
We work on the built-in appliances inside the kitchen and nothing else. The only duct we open is the one above the cooking surface, from the hood to the wall cap outside — the supply and return ducts that heat and cool the house are a different trade altogether and we are not in it. If the call is about a furnace, an air conditioner, an air handler or a vent in the ceiling, we will say so on the phone and send you elsewhere rather than book a visit.
A call from Mandarin about a Thermador appliance is ours. A call from Mandarin about the furnace, the air conditioning or a vent in the ceiling is not, and we would rather tell you that in thirty seconds on (904) 201-3304 than on your doorstep.

Before the estimate
What does a repair cost before we arrive?
The visit is a flat $80 and it comes off the repair once you approve it. What the repair itself lands at depends on the part, and these are the bands the work below has actually fallen into. A band is not a quote: the firm figure is written down after the appliance has been opened and measured.
| Repair | Typical range |
|---|---|
| Diagnostic visit | $80 flat, credited |
| Oven thermostat or temperature sensor | $170–$560 |
| Igniter, spark module or surface element | $210–$530 |
Before you call
What do people ask before booking a repair?
- Do you work on any manufacturer other than Thermador?
- No. One manufacturer is the whole point of the bench. It is what lets us arrive already knowing how a product line behaves after fifteen years in a Mandarin kitchen, which generation of a board is in front of us, and which running change the data plate is pointing at.
- What happens on the first visit?
- The appliance is made to repeat the symptom in front of us, the supply and the airflow are measured before anything is condemned, and you get the findings in writing. That is the flat $80 diagnostic, and it comes off the total when you approve the repair.
- Can you tell me the price over the phone?
- We can tell you the band the repair usually falls into, and every page here prints those bands. We cannot tell you the figure, because the part depends on the model and serial on your data plate and the fault depends on what the meter says.
